Providing integrated, community-based training to develop a skilled workforce
adept at meeting the unique needs of rural communities.
Pipeline Programs
Inspiring the next generation of healthcare professionals begins early. Our Pipeline Programs offer high school and undergraduate students opportunities to explore healthcare careers through fitness and health education, enrichment classes, Scrubs Camps, Pharm Camps, and HOSA clubs. By providing hands-on experiences and mentorship, we spark curiosity and guide students toward future careers in healthcare.
Community-Based Experiential Training (CBET)
Preparing future healthcare professionals starts with hands-on experience. Our CBET program ensures that students completing clinical rotations in Gila, Graham, and Greenlee counties have the support they need, including housing assistance. By easing logistical challenges, we allow students to focus on gaining real-world experience while serving our rural communities.
Scholars Program
For graduate students pursuing healthcare careers, our Scholars Program offers immersive, community-based learning experiences. Through service-learning projects, community needs assessments, and research presentations, scholars contribute meaningful work while gaining the skills and insight needed to serve rural communities effectively. This program helps shape the next generation of healthcare leaders dedicated to making a difference.
Continuing Medical Education (CME)
Lifelong learning is essential in healthcare. Our CME program provides free, high-quality education for medical professionals, including weekly CME sessions through Banner, monthly regional LASSO events, and additional training opportunities. With support for travel and meals, we make professional development accessible so providers can continue delivering the best care.
Community Health Education (CHE)
Knowledge empowers healthier communities. Through our CHE initiatives, we host health fairs, CPR training, plant-based nutrition workshops, and other wellness events designed to educate and engage the public. By equipping individuals with essential health knowledge, we promote long-term well-being and preventative care.
